Christina Lefevre Latner
Christina Lefevre Latner, MPP, is a public policy specialist and lecturer in the Women and Gender Studies Department at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. She is an expert in social policy and health, with decades of experience providing direct services, leading outreach efforts, developing and implementing campaign strategies, conducting policy analysis, and performing program evaluations. She earned her B.A. in Psychology from San Francisco State University, specializing in lifespan development and non-profit management and completed her Master’s in Public Policy at Cal Poly in 2014. She has been engaged in community, government and media relations; event and communications planning; philanthropy and cause-related marketing; as well as social media and website content management. She has worked for both local and national non-profit organizations, city, county and state government offices, and corporate sales. In addition to lecturing part-time at Cal Poly, she currently works as a consultant with organizations such as First 5 of San Luis Obispo, where she educates and advocates for policies such as early learning for all and family friendly workplace policies. She has also consulted on numerous local election campaigns. At the SLO County Community Foundation, she works as the Production Consultant for Central Coast Voices on KCBX. Christina serves on the boards of The Friends of the Atascadero Library and The Central Coast Link.
